I developed this concept and art directed the photoshoot for the cover of a TV Guide from VPRO. I always love to combine people with objects, or in this case with the image itself.
First I thought of putting real life pixels on the head, however this didn’t work. Then I decided the model had to hold an image in front of his face: the good thing was it then made it more the model’s own choice. It took ± 12 hours to finish.
